It’s the most wonderful time of the year!
Although this year, holiday celebrations in Boston may be looking a bit different than usual, there’s still plenty of dazzling holiday lights display to catch in and around the city! So put on a warm hat, grab your mask and head on out to bask in the cheerful spirit of the season.

1. Dilworth Park
Twinkling lights, giant green reindeer and mulled wine? Yes, please! The magical Wintergarden on Greenfield Lawn is covered with giant reindeer topiaries, twinkling lights and rustic décor that make for totally awesome photo ops! You can also head on over to the Rothman Orthopedics Ice Rink for ice skating under the holiday lights or warm up with a hearty cocktail at Rothman Orthopedics Cabin!
2. Christmas Village
Visit Philly’s famous Christmas Village and bask in the beauty of its holiday lights while enjoying hearty European treats like mulled wine and raclette. This year, Christmas Village will host over 60 vendors selling holiday gifts, hand-made ornaments as well as plenty of hearty European dishes!
3. Blue Cross Riverrink
If you’re a fan of rustic ski lodges, warm cups of hot cocoa and ice skating this is the place to go! Blue Cross Point Riverrink has the most perfect, adorable little cabins in which to cozy up by the fire after a long ice skating session out in the cold. Enjoy Delaware Waterfront’s holiday lights from the comfort of your own cabin, while cozying up by a fire pit or head on over to the rink to skate under the lights!
4. Peddler’s Village
Holidays in the Village has returned for yet another merry and bright season full of magical lights, gingerbread houses, holiday shopping and even socially-distant visits to Santa! One of the most popular events of the festive season, Holidays in the Village at Peddler’s Village opened on Thursday, November 19, and will be in town through January 10, 2021, for two months of merry celebrations.
5. Longwood Gardens
Endless rows of bright red poinsettias, towering trees covered in twinkling lights and luscious Christmas decorations; there’s no denying Longwood Gardens go all out for the holiday season. So why not put on your warmest Santa hat and head on over to Longwood Gardens and bask in the festive spirit of the season?
6. Winter on Broad Street
Presented by Dietz & Watson, Philly’s newest holiday attraction, Winter on Broad Street: A Holiday Spectacular! features an enchanting wonderland of more than 190 dazzling sculptures, millions of twinkling lights and tons of holiday-themed activities for what looks like the winter wonderland market of our dreams!
7. A Very Furry Christmas at Sesame Place
The perfect place to visit with your family, Sesame Street’s spectacular holiday light show features over a million twinkling lights! Jump aboard the Sesame Place Furry Express for a tour of The Twiddlebugs’ Gingerbread Factory or reserve a time slot for a socially distanced pic with Santa or Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer. This year, the park has also opened its brand new Furry & Bright Christmas drive-thru so you can experience Christmas in Sesame Street from the comfort and security of your own car every Tuesday and Wednesday night through December 23!
8. Boathouse Row
Head on over to Fairmount Water Works or stop above the Fairmount Fish Ladder on the Schuylkill River Trail to get the best views of Boathouse Row’s beautiful lights. This year the popular spot will be lighting up with festive colors for Hanukkah (December 10-17, 2020); Christmas (December 19-25, 2020) and Kwanzaa (December 26, 2020 – January 1, 2021), so make sure to catch the dazzling display!
9. Holiday Light Show at Shady Brook Farm
Head on over to Shady Brook Farms in Buck County after dark and jump on one of their wagons to catch their magical, two-mile light display. From dazzling tunnels to light-up reindeer, at Shady Brook you’ll find every imaginable Christmas icon rendered in tiny bulbs!
10. Winter at Franklin Square
Find Electrical Spectacle Holiday Light Show presented by PECO at Winter at Franklin Square presented by Citizens. The historic square has been decked out with more than 100,000 dazzling lights and will be holding free spectacular shows every night all throughout the season!
