Mark your calendars! The holiday season is officially here and Philadelphia is ready for the festivities. Christmas Village is coming back to LOVE Park and City Hall this November and we can’t wait. Embrace the magic of the season as you explore one of the most recognized and award-winning German Christmas markets in America!
Christmas Village Returns
Follow the smell of German gingerbread and Swiss raclette cheese to Philadelphia’s most dazzling holiday attraction! Indeed, the single largest holiday attraction in the city, Christmas Village is returning. Time to bring back the magic to LOVE park and city Hall.
Enjoy holiday sights and sounds with tens of thousands of twinkling lights, festive decorations, live music, and multiple children’s activities. Christmas Village returns for its 16th season, running from November 23 to December 24, 2024.
A special preview weekend is slated for Saturday, November 18th to Sunday, November 19th.
Presented by Bank of America and the Made in Philadelphia Holiday Market, this year’s village is more magical than ever before.
“It’s nearly the Most Wonderful Time of the Year. Philadelphia’s holiday season is a joyous time for Philadelphia and Christmas Village is a pivotal part of the city’s traditions,” said Bank of America Greater Philadelphia President Jim Dever in an official press release.
“This seasonal experience not only creates lasting family memories but encourages all to support our local arts and small business vendors during the holiday season.”
What To Expect
This holiday season find the perfect gift for your loved ones. Over 120 local and international merchants and artists will be featured in the village offering high-quality, lovingly handcrafted gifts. True to the layout of year’s past, vendors and artisans will be setting up shop in authentic, wooden cottages around Philadelphia’s famous LOVE Park, City Hall’s Courtyard, and the North Broad section of City Hall.
Undoubtedly, there will be something for everyone at this family-friendly shopping experience. Not only can visitors leave their Christmas wishes at the beloved traditional Make-a-Wish wall, they also can dance away and enjoy live music during weekday evenings and all-day on weekends.
Additionally, be sure to make memories by posing in front of the beautifully lit up Angel Wing Wall, at the North Broad section. Can’t get enough Christmas Village cheer?
Make sure to grab Christmas Village swag at the info booth with a curated selection of 2024 Christmas Village merch.
Next, enjoy festive light installations inside the open-air seating and beer garden areas at LOVE Park, City Hall’s Courtyard and, for the first time ever, at the North Broad section.
And lastly, allow your taste buds to take part in the holiday magic with a full menu of European foods, sweets, and drinks. Bites include mouthwatering German Bratwurst and Schnitzel served on a roll (Brötchen).
Returning this year are some of the market’s most popular dishes, like the Swiss Raclette cheese and Helmut’s strudel.
Or, enjoy the popular Belgian Fries. Wash it all down with a mug of hot German Glühwein (spiced mulled wine). Or try the spiked drink options such as boozy hot chocolate with liquor from local Boardroom Spirits.
Comparatively, an array of delicious non-alcoholic beverages are ready to be enjoyed as well.
