1. Linvilla Orchards, Media
Indeed, you’ll do more than just apple-picking when you visit this family-friendly orchard. Located in Media, PA, Linvilla Orchards is the prefect place to go apple-picking. Linvilla grows 25 different varieties of apples on 20 acres of orchards. Take a hayride out to the apple orchards and pick your favorite apple from Pink Ladies to Granny Smiths. 2. Shady Brook Farm, Yardley
Located in nearby Yardley, PA, Shady Brook Farm is a great place to go apple-picking with the family. Take a cozy wagon ride to the field to PYO apples per container. 3. Styer Orchard, Langhorne
Less than an hour’s drive from Philadelphia is the scenic town of Langhorne, Pa and the welcoming Styer Orchard. Take a free wagon ride to the apple orchards to PYO apples. Styer Orchard advises calling or checking their website or Facebook page first to determine picking conditions for that day. There’s also an on-site market with freshly made and delicious sweets and pies.

6. Indian Orchards Farm, Media
This 100 year old family-operated farm is located in Media, Pa. Indian Orchards farm offers PYO apple-picking daily from 10:00am-6:00pm .Crops are grown using organic techniques that are not only natural but also sustainable. Important to note, visitors must register at the desk to pay the per-person picking fee of $3.50 and to get their baskets.

7. Solebury Orchards Apple-Picking, New Hope
This 15 acre-orchard located in New Hope, is a perfect choice for apple-picking. Take a wagon ride to the best picking spots and choose from more than 20 different varieties of apples ripening at different times during the season. Pick-your-own is available late August through early November. Solebury Orchards is open Thursday through Sunday from 9am to 6pm. 8. Highland Orchards, West Chester
Enjoy a day full of activities at this farm in West Chester, PA. Just a short drive outside of Philadelphia, enjoy a 5-acre corn maze, hayrides, apple cannons, and more. Next, PYO crisp apples to enjoy or the ride home or save for later to make some delicious apple pie. While there, be sure to try their “best in Philly” apple cider donuts.
