Opened this October in Manayunk, Thrillerdelphia is Philadelphia’s first bookstore dedicated entirely to horror, thrillers, and true crime.
The shop is a passion project from husband-and-wife duo Tina and Anthony Long, longtime readers and the owners behind Cupid’s bookstore. After creating a space for romance lovers, they realized Philly was missing something on the other end of the bookshelf. And so they built it themselves.
👻 Thrillerdelphia brings horror, thriller, & true crime to Manayunk
Thillerdelphia is designed for readers who want to feel something when they read. Fear, tension, obsession, curiosity —the kind of stories that keep you up too late and make every sound in the house feel suspicious.
The shelves are carefully curated with a mix of new and used books, classic titles, emerging voices, and even horror films on VHS, DVD, and Blu-Ray. This ins’t a big-box bookstore. It’s cozy, intentional, and full of chilling personality.
Since opening, locals have already embraced it as a perfect fit for Main Street. It’s the kind of shop where staff actually talk to you about what scares you, what unsettles you, and what you’re in the mood to read next.
Supporting Thrillerdelphia also means supporting a family-owned business that employs members of the local community. Not to mention, the meaningful work they do like literacy-focused causes, author events, book clubs, and creative programming.
