Philadelphia’s waterfront is gearing up another season of roller skating, outdoor fitness, and warm-weather fun as Delaware River Waterfront Corporation officially brings back Independence Blue Cross RiverRink Summerfest for 2026.
Opening Friday May 22, the seasonal attraction will once again transform the Delaware River Waterfront into one of the city’s most active summer destinations, complete with Philly’s only outdoor roller-skating rink, mini golf, amusement rides, waterfront lounging, and expanded wellness programming across multiple parks.
“Our goal is to make the Waterfront one of Philadelphia’s most vibrant, welcoming, and accessible public spaces,” said Joseph A. Forkin, president and CEO of the Delaware River Waterfront Corporation.
“With the return of Independence Blue Cross RiverRink Summerfest and expending wellness programming across our parks, we’re giving people more way to get outside, stay active, connect with the Delaware River, and enjoy the Waterfront at its best.”
What’s new at Summerfest this year 🎡

This season introduces several new additions, including the Roll Call Dj Nights every Friday evening, refreshed nautical-inspired lounge spaces, shaded cabanas with TVs and fans, and soccer-themed activities ahead of Philadelphia’s soccer-filled summer.
Visitors can also expect:
- 🎡 A 60-foot Ferris wheel
- ⛳️ 18-hole mini golf
- 🛼 Outdoor roller skating
- 🍦 Boardwalk-style eats and frozen drinks
- 🕹️ Arcade games
- ⚽️ Interactive soccer tables and watch parties
Wellness programming expands across the waterfront 🧘
Beyond Summerfest, the waterfront will also host free wellness programming at several location this season.
Activities include:
- 🧘 Yoga at Race Street Pier
- 🌿 Tai Chi and guided meditation at Spruce Street Harbor Park
- 🎣 Fishing with Friends at Pier 68
Summerfest operates Thursday through Sunday throughout the season, with holiday openings on Memorial Day, Juneteenth, and Labor Day weekend.
