The pods are coming to Philly! If you’re single in the city and looking for love, this is your moment. Netflix’s hit reality dating show ‘Love Is Blind’ is officially casting in Philadelphia and here’s how you can apply.
The casting team, Kinetic Content, just opened applications specifically for Philly residents, and the timing couldn’t be better.
Philly is already full of strong personalities, big opinions, and even bigger hearts. There’s no better city to host a casting call, especially given that there are so many singles and seemingly so little prospects.
What is ‘Love Is Blind‘ about?
In case you’ve been living under a SEPTA seat, ‘Love is Blind‘ is a wild social experiment where singles date in isolated “pods” without ever seeing each other. In fact, they talk to each other through a wall for 10 days to see if a connection can be made.
Next, if a real connection is made, the pair gets engaged still without knowing what the other person looks like. It is only after the proposal is accepted will the pair get to meet face-to-face.
Here’s where things really heat up. After getting engaged, the couples head off on a dreamy getaway where trials and tribulations arise to see if the newfound connection can stand the test.
Ultimately, once back in the real world, they must decide if they want to spend the rest of their lives together.
The show follows their real-life journey from the first “I love you” to “I do“…or “I don’t.”
Hosted by Nick and Vanessa Lachey, the show explores whether love really is blind, or if things like physical attraction, race, age, and outside influences get in the way.
What’s the application process like?
Think you’ve got what it takes to find your person without swiping left or right? Here’s what the application process involves:
-
You must be 21+ at the time of applying
-
Be a legal U.S. resident
-
Single as a Pringle — no situationships, entanglements, or “we’re just talking” types
-
Not running for office now or for one year after the show
-
Hold a valid passport that won’t expire for at least a year
-
Be able to travel without restrictions (production could whisk you away!)
-
Be open to sharing your love life on camera for a national audience
-
And yep — you’ll have to fill out a 72-question form about your relationship history, values, and what you’re looking for in a partner
Applicants will also be asked to submit IDs and be prepared to sign legal waivers and agreements. Standard really TV stuff.
So…should you apply to ‘Love Is Blind‘?
Why not! Whether you’re tired of the Philly dating scene, hate apps, or think your soulmate is out there waiting to hear your voice in a pod, this is the ultimate leap of faith.
Just imagine representing the 215 in front of the whole world.
It’s no secret, Philly keeps it real and raw so the next season should be the best yet.
Applications are now open here.
