Indeed, summer is here and Philadelphia is sizzling with things to do! As we gear up to celebrate the birth date of our nation, Wawa Welcome America has rolled out a summer-long itinerary. Enjoy exciting events and activities including free museum days!
What is Free Museum Days?
Free Museum Days is a summer-long program presented by Wawa Welcome America in which some of Philadelphia’s most notable museums, cultural institutions, and attractions will open their doors free of charge, or, for an optional pay-what-you-wish donation. Free Museum Days is open to the public. However, some dates and locations require guests who intend to visit to pre-register. The select dates and museums to be listed below. Times per museum may vary.
What museums are included?
This summer, take the kids to visit some of Philadelphia’s most notable institutions and museums. Visit places such as Eastern State Penitinary, the African American Museum, and more for free!

- Thursday, June 20, 10 AM – 5 PM– Independence Seaport Museum (Building only Free)
