Welcome the year of the ox at Dilworth Park!
Lunar New Year celebrations may be looking a tad bit different this year, but Dilworth Park ain’t skipping out! The Center City Park is transforming its winter attractions for a special celebration on Friday, February 12.
Dilworth Park will be transforming the Rothman Orthopaedics ice rink with festive décor and plenty of red lanterns for a themed ice skating session.
The celebrations will also include a performance by Kun-Yang Lin/Dancers, a local dance company that combines diverse philosophies, living traditions, and contemplative practices of Asian origin.
Organizers will also be handing out lucky red envelopes to skaters for a chance to win some awesome secret prizes. Envelope supply will be limited, so we highly recommend getting there early for a chance to get your hand on one!
To ensure everything runs smoothly and safely, the park is asking all attendees to mask up and maintain the required 6-foot security distance. In addition, they’re also asking all of those who are currently sick or show mild symptoms to remain at home.
The Lunar New Year Celebration at Dilworth Park will be taking place on Friday, February 12, from 5 to 7 p.m. and requires advanced reservations to be able to attend. Places will be limited so sign up ASAP and ring in the year of the ox with a totally cool, socially-distant party!
