Pumpkin Season is officially here Philadelphians!
Changing leaves aside, one of the most anticipated aspects of the fall season are pumpkin patches!
The versatile orange fruit is a total staple of fall. To get you in the mood for fall harvest, we’ve put together a list of eight perfect pumpkin patches around Philly. Check ’em out!
1. Linvilla Orchards, Media, PA
This popular farm is home to thousands of beautiful gourds of all shapes and sizes. Although the farm doesn’t do PYO pumpkins you can still wander through their Pumpkinland to pick out your perfect pumpkin from over 100 tons of them! Linvilla also offers other awesome fall activities like PYO apples, hayrides, corn mazes and they also have beautiful Jack-o-Lantern exhibits at dusk. One of the most popular pumpkin patches near Philly, Linvilla Orchards is fun for the entire family!
Linvilla Orchards is open Fridays and Saturdays from 8 a.m. until 9 p.m. and Sundays through Thursdays from 8 a.m. through 8 p.m.

2. Shady Brook Farm, Yardley, PA
About 35 mins outside of Philly, you’ll find Shady Brook Farms. Come for pumpkin picking and stay for scenic wagon rides, a 5-acre corn maze (BYO flashlight after dark), bonfires, live music, spooky snacks, a barn of horror and all kinds of fall-tastic activities! Just make sure to book your timed tickets for Shady Brook Farms ahead of time.
Shady Brook Farms is open Wednesday and Thursdays from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Fridays and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Sundays from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.

3. Pumpkin patches: Johnson’s Corner Farm, Medford, NJ
Located 22 miles outside of Philadelphia, Johnson’s Corner Farm offers a fall festival full of fun. From September 9 through October 31, visit their pumpkin patch. Or, on Saturdays and Sundays stay for the weekend fall festival. Festival-goers can enjoy hayrides, live music, a stroll through the corn maze, and of course, the animals on the farm.
Fall festivals are every weekend in September and October from 10am -12pm. Farmer’s Market hours are daily from 8am to 7pm.

4.Milky Way Farm, Chester Springs, PA
Come for the pumpkins stay for the ice cream! If you’re a fan of ice cream then we highly suggest checking out Milky Way Farm. This Chester Springs Farm grows about 7 acres of pumpkins each year that are available for picking all the way through October 31 and is also home to an incredible creamery.
So once you’re done picking up your pumpkins make sure to reward yourself with a velvety smooth scoop for all your hard work! Make sure to book your tickets ahead of time!
Milky Way Farm is open Monday through Friday from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on weekends.

5. Hellerick’s Family Farm, Doylestown, PA
This lovely farm in Doylestown offers up to 55 different kinds of pumpkins, so you know you’ll find the perfect one for every occasion. Plus, there’s also a totally cool zip line, an obstacle race, an awesome corn maze and our personal favorite “goat yoga,” so you can relax with the help of some incredibly cute furry friends!
Hellerick’s is open daily from 9:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.

6. Pumpkin patches: Merrymead Farm, Lansdale, PA
September 23rd come see the lighting of giant, “Great Pumpkin”! Merrymead farm is also one of the most popular pumpkin patches in the area as it offers plenty to do. Every weekend in October, visitors can enjoy hayrides, a cornstalk tunnel, pumpkin painting, and a corn maze. Come for the pumpkin patch and stay for the pumpkin ice cream and apple cider donuts.

7. Maple Acres Farm, Plymouth Meeting, PA
Located in Plymouth Meeting, this 105-year-old farm is perfect for your fall harvest activities. PYO zinnias for a beautiful bouquet. Next, head over to the pumpkin patch to pick your perfect pumpkin. Lastly, shop fall decorations while enjoying a famous apple cider slushy. This picturesque farm offers plenty of photo opportunities and Instagrammable moments.

8. Pumpkin patches: None Such Farm, Buckingham, PA
Not too far from Doylestown, PA, you’ll find None Such Farm. This family-operated, third-generation farm has lots to offer. Visitors can enjoy hayrides, a bountiful pumpkin patch and more. In addition to fall activities, there’s also baked good and ripe produce available for sale.
None Such Farm is open Wed-Sat 10am – 6pm; Closed Sun-Tue.
