Say it isn’t so! The Autumn Equinox is just over a month away which means the later sunsets are beginning to fade away. While we still have a little more time until Philly sees its last 7 p.m. sunset, the last 8 p.m. sunset has already befallen over our beautiful city. The last 8 p.m. sunset in Philadelphia was officially August 12th, 2024.

Undoubtedly, the later sunsets signify the arrival of the summer season with lazy days and longer nights. But now with the Autumn equinox soon approaching, the sun will no longer set as late. It’s a reminder that summer is almost over and we are on our way to another season.
However, although the sun will be setting earlier, there’s still plenty to check off your end-of-the-summer bucket list.
