Philadelphia is officially proving that you don’t need alcohol to have a great bar crawl. This January, two of the city’s most vibrant neighborhoods—Northern Liberties and Fishtown—are teaming up to launch Philadelphia’s first-ever Dry January Bar Crawl, a two-day, neighborhood-wide celebration of zero-proof drinking that’s equal parts social, flavorful, and fun.
Set for Saturday, January 17 and Sunday, January 18, 2026, this weekend-long event features more than two dozen participating bars, restaurants, breweries, distilleries, and cafes, each offering specially priced mocktails and non-alcoholic beverages throughout the weekend.
The event is presented by the Northern Liberties Business Improvement District and the Fishtown District, with promotional support from Aversa PR & Events.
🍹 What is the Dry January Bar Crawl?

✨ Celebrating Philly’s growing zero-proof scene

The Dry January Bar Crawl is about more than just skipping alcohol for a weekend. This is a celebration of Philadelphia’s expanding non-alcoholic beverage culture and a chance to support local businesses in new ways.
Nikki Graziano, owner of Bar Palmina in Fishtown, sums it up perfectly:
It’s important to consider your non-drinking guests because it falls under great hospitality. I created Bar Palmina two years ago because it wasn’t being widely embraced in Philly yet. I’m glad that that’s slowly changing, but we still have a very long way to go. Part of my ethos is that it’s dangerous to equate non-drinkers with being anti-social. There’s tons of reasons why people don’t drink—none of which are anybody’s business but their own— and not providing space for them with quality options is just bad hospitality.
