Don’t pack away your tank tops just yet!
After a record-breaking hot summer, fall in Philly’s fall forecast is leaning warmer than usual.
On the other hand, other parts of Pennsylvania, including towns just outside the city, are expected to cool down a bit more than average.
It’ll be interesting to see which way the weather actually plays out. Much of the Northeast region is expected to experience cooler but drier temps, which could leave Philly somewhere in the middle.
In other words, flannels and flip-flops might both make the rotation this fall.
As far as precipitation goes, don’t expect much. The forecast indicates below-average rainfall for our area as well as the rest of Pennsylvania.
Specifically, according to the Old Farmer’s Almanac, the Northeast region can expect an average of 3.5 inches of rain in September and 2.5 inches in October.
