The Philadelphia Portal may find itself on the move. Where should it go next? Well, the choice is yours!
Vote on the Philly Portal
The future of the portal is up to the people of Philly.
The program’s director, Joe Callahan, announced Thursday that people can now vote on what happens next for the Philadelphia Portal.
Recently, he expressed an intent for the portal to be moved:
“We wanted to be able to set up in the appropriate environment that has enough space for people to come and celebrate, for people to collaborate with the other countries, and not have to worry about moving it around,” said Joe Callahan.
Firstly, during the annual Christmas Village, the portal had to be moved, he noted, and organizers did not want to have to move it again this year.
Also, there have been two instances of vandalism, resulting in a temporary shutdown of the live stream.
However, it has since been turned back on and reconnected.
For now, it appears the portal is in need of some Philly input.

Specifically, residents can vote on whether it should remain in its original location at Love Park or move to City Hall’s Courtyard for a fresh perspective.
Where do you think the portal should go?
Should it stay in Love Park, where locals and tourists have already become familiar with it?
Or maybe it should move to the grand courtyard in City Hall, offering a renewed feel and different backdrop?
