Shark Tank in Philly 🦈
Shark Tank is finally coming back to Philly! ABC’s long-running sitcom will be making a stop in Philadelphia this spring for an open casting call.
For those of you who aren’t familiar with the popular show, here’s the tagline:
The Sharks give budding entrepreneurs the chance to secure business deals that could make them millionaires.
If you’re looking to see the big Sharks like Mark Cuban, Barbara Corcoran, or Daymond John, you’ll have to try to get past the open casting call first.
The casting call is Friday, April 11 at Rivers Casino where contestants will have the opportunity to do a 1-minute pitch. If you’re the owner of a business, sitting on a valuable and lucrative idea, or invented the next best product, during the open casting call you’ll get a chance to pitch it to a member of the casting team- just like you would do if you were on the show.
Consider it practice for the big round, or should we say the big tank!
Here’s how to submit your pitch ✅
Firstly, the casting call is open to the public and does not require you to sign-up.
However, contestants will need a wristband and an application to audition for Shark Tank. Application’s will be available on-site.
Here’s how to submit your pitch:
- 📍 Where: Event Center at Rivers Casino Philadelphia
- ⏰ When: April 11th, 2025
- 🚨 Time: Contestants can begin lining up at 8 a.m.
- (wristbands will be distributed from 9 a.m.-11 a.m.)
- 🤑 What: Interviews (pitches) will begin at 10 a.m.
Important to note, anyone who receives a wristband will have the chance to audition even if it’s well into the evening. So, there’s no need to camp out. Instead, focus on telling the world why the sharks should take a swim in business with you!
In other words, pitch perfect.
Has anyone from Philly ever landed a deal? 👀
Yes! Although Shark Tank has not recruited talent in Philadelphia specifically since 2017, many entrepreneurs from Philly have been successful on the show and landed deals.
Take for example, Black Paper Party, a specialty-wrapping paper company, landed a $250,000 deal with the Sharks.
Then there’s KIN Apparel, a line of satin-lined hoodies, who landed a deal with two sharks on the show in 2021.
Indeed, Philly is a city of underdogs hungry for victory and dreamchasers hungry for championships.
