A brand-new pizza shop is landing in Northern Liberties this Sunday—and it’s coming with major culinary star power and a freebie. Scusi Pizza, the latest concept from Michelin-recommended Chef Laurent Tourondel, is officially opening its doors on November 23, 2025. To celebrate, the first 100 Philadelphia Marathon finishers who show their 2025 medal will score a free slice.
This marks Tourondel’s first venture into Philadelphia’s food scene, and he’s teaming up with one of the city’s most respected chef: Executive Chef Georgeann Leaming, known for her creative, elevated spin on comfort food. Together, they’re bringing a casual but flavor-forward pizza experience to the Piazza Alta.
🍕 Here’s what to expect from Scusi Pizza
-
Classic pies, reimagined — Think pepperoni, Grandma pie, and margherita, but layered with bold flavors and refined technique.
-
Unexpected twists — Creative topping combos and “crust dippers” like truffle aioli, hot honey, and pesto.
-
More than just pizza — A lineup of small plates, salads, and shareables.
-
House-made soft serve — A full menu of creamy desserts made in-house.
-
Italian-inspired drinks — Cocktails, bottled wine, and refreshing spirit-free options.
-
Indoor and patio seating — A relaxed, welcoming vibe for solo visits, date nights, family stops, or post-marathon refueling.
The shop will open daily from 11:00 AM to 9:00 PM.
The free-slice giveaway kicks off Sunday at 11:00 AM sharp—and only the first 100 runners with medals will qualify.
