Dine surrounded by luscious greenery at Parks on Tap new indoor pop-up!
A lush, new restaurant option has popped up in the city Philadelphians! Parks on Tap has just opened its new indoor pop-up and it looks totally amazing! The 30,000-square-foot space has opened at the Fairmount Horticulture Center Arboretum and it features fresh food, local beers, wine and winter cocktails, all set out in a gorgeous greenhouse space.
Located in West Fairmount Park, the Center is already home to interesting pieces of art and blossoming plants, now thanks to Parks on Tap it’ll be turning into a giant dining spot perfect for all low-key occasions.
Just like at the pop-up’s outdoor spot, at the new greenhouse food court you’ll be able to enjoy BBQ-style dishes including pulled pork sandwiches and sloppy joes as well as spare ribs and brisked served with milk bread, coleslaw and pickles.
On the tap, you’ll be able to find a wide array of locally-crafted beers and wine as well as winter-inspired cocktails including a decadent hot chocolate served with vodka, whipped cream and chocolate syrup.
While dining at Parks on Tap’s greenhouse guests will also be in for a special treat and will get to dine beneath the touring artwork display Gaia. Created by British artist Luke Jerram, this stunning installation features detailed NASA imagery of the Earth’s surface, allowing you to experience Earth the same way astronauts see it, floating and in 3D.
Parks on Tap’s indoor space is currently open every Monday through Friday from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. and weekends from 12 to 10 p.m. However, indoor dining at the Fairmount Horticulture Center requires previous reservations, so make sure to check out Parks on Tap’s website ahead of your visit to book your spot!
