Temperatures are slowly dropping down to freezing, but Harper’s Garden has got you covered for winter season dining!
Winter seems to be coming in hot — I mean cold — this year, so what to do when it comes to safely dining out in the freezing cold? Well, Harper’s Garden may just have the answer to all your winter dining prayers: Tiny-greenhouse dining.
These adorable greenhouses have been all the rage in cities like NYC and Chicago when it came to COVID-friendly dining throughout the summer and here in Philadelphia, they’re the perfect solution to dining out on the sidewalk during the chilly Philly winter.
The greenhouses at Harper’s garden come with their own heating and lighting system and movable panels so you can enjoy your meal come rain, shine or snow! There are nine greenhouses at the restaurant, five of which seat four to six guests while the other four can sit up to eight — all are equally charming and make for a totally awesome and intimate dinner.
What’s for dinner you ask? If you’re sitting out at one of the greenhouses you can still enjoy the full dining and cocktail menu so pretty much everything is up for grabs. Options include, but are not limited to the “‘Murica Burger” with double-stacked brisket blend, cooper cheese, pickles, minced onion, dijon, ketchup in a milk bread bun, Farfalle pasta with autumn spiced Wagyu beef meatballs, sunchoke, onion jus and labneh, and mini apple pie with spiced pecan crumb for dessert. Yum!
To wash it all down you can pair it with one of their many original cocktails like their “PB&J” with Dad’s Hat Rye, Skrewball Peanut Butter Whiskey and Creme de Cassis or the “Date with a Butterfly” made with Butterfly Pea infused Gordon’s Gin, Sherry, cardamom, lemon and egg white.
Each greenhouse has a time limit of 90 minutes for parties of four or smaller and a 2-hour one for larger groups to help maintain a safe and sanitized flow. They also require you spend a minimum of $200 to $300 per table in order to be able to book your spot in one of the totally charming greenhouses.
If by the end of the night you feel like taking the party home, Harper’s Garden allows customers to get their last row of cocktails to go so you can close off your night with some delicious drinks at home!
Harper’s Garden cute greenhouses can be booked online ahead of time on their website.
