For the first time ever, the beloved event is rolling out a weekday evening edition, turning Center City into a vibrant, car-free destination every Tuesday.
Open Streets: Midtown Village goes car-free weekday evenings 🚫🚗
Hosted by Center City District, this new format brings a fresh energy to the neighborhood
🗓 When: Every Tuesday from June 2–June 30
⏰ Time: 4 p.m. – 9 p.m. (street closures from 2 p.m. – 10 p.m.)
📍 Where:
- 13 Street (Chestnut to Walnut)
- Samson Streets (12th to Juniper)
- Drury Street
This marks the first fully pedestrianized version of the event, meaning you’ll enjoy five full blocks of car-free space.
“We’re excited to pilot the first Open Streets evening edition in Midtown Village,” CCD President and CEO Prema Katari Gupta said.
“Hosting it during the week provides the bustling neighborhood with a break from car traffic and gives our restaurateurs extra space during happy hour and dinner times. We’re looking forward to learning how to further tailor this program to the needs of the neighborhood.” Â
