Inside the Exhibit: Not for the Faint of Heart
This isn’t a sanitized museum tour. The experience uses industrialized, graphic spaces to recreate the haunting environments of history’s most notorious figures.
- Eerie Recreations: Step into a chilling reconstruction of Jeffrey Dahmer’s apartment or walk through the macabre world of Ed Gein.
- Go behind the tape: Explore a deep archive of evidence, psychology, and detailed items that offer a raw look into the criminology of the disturbed.
- The FBI VR Experience: Put yourself in the shoes of a profiler. This high-tech VR component tasks you with piecing together a developing case using actual investigative techniques.

*Note on Intensity: Due to the graphic nature of the subject matter, this experience is strictly for mature audiences (14+). Anyone under 17 must be accompanied by an adult.
Getting There
- Amtrak: A quick trip into Moynihan Train Hall at Penn Station. From there, the exhibit is just a 15-minute walk or a quick subway ride (A, C, E, F or 1, 2, 3 lines) down to 14th Street.
- Bus: Both Greyhound and FlixBus offer convenient drops near Midtown and the Port Authority Bus Terminal.

Where to Stay & What to Do Nearby
If you’re making a weekend of it, Midtown and Chelsea offer a range of options:
- Stay: The Hyatt Herald Square or Martinique offer 4-star comfort, while the Fairfield Inn & Suites is unbeatable for proximity to the train.
- Explore: After the intensity of the exhibit, decompress at the Union Square Greenmarket (a short walk east) or shift gears at the Museum of Illusions. If you have time, grab a meal in Koreatown near 32nd Street for some of the best food in the city.

Pro Tip: Bring your own headphones! The exhibit features an audio guide that provides essential context for the galleries as you walk through.
There’s no shortage of things to do near 6th ave and 14th street where the experience is located or once you get off the train just a few stops away at 34th street Penn Station.
