Let the good times roll, Philly! Craftsman Row Saloon is once again bringing the magic of New Orleans straight to Jeweler’s Row with its 6th annual Mardi Gras Pop-Up Bar Experience. This year it’s bigger, bolder, and more over the top than ever.
Located at 112 S. 8th Street, Craftsman Row has completely transformed its space from its award-winning Christmas pop-up into a full-blown Bourbon Street fantasy. The saloon is decked out with thousands of beads, feathers, masquerade masks, umbrellas handing from the ceiling, and jazz instruments. Additionally, glowing lights and Mardi Gras colors illuminate the entire building inside and out.
Mardi Gras takes over Philly 🎺
As one of the first spots to introduce a Mardi-Gras pop-up in Philly, Craftsman Row leans all the way into sights, sounds, and flavors of The Big Easy. Festive Jazz, New Orleans classics, and even a few Mummers favorites set the mood while guests feast and sip their way through carnival season.
Co-owner Vasiliki Tsiouris Balis described what’s in store:
You can be the King of Bourbon Street with our over-the-top milkshake with real King Cake. We have added more this year, all geared to totally appeal to the senses with the sights, sounds and tastes of Mardi Gras.
What’s on the Mardi Gras menu 🍽️
Expect New Orleans-inspired comfort food alongside Craftsman Row favorites, including:
- Shrimp, sausage, or combo Po’ Boys
- Crawfish mac & cheese
- Jambalaya
- Big Easy Burger
- New King Cake Burger with bacon, eggs, maple syrup, and king cake bread
The milkshakes deserve their own parade ✨
Their legendary shakes are back and fully dressed for Mardi Gras:
- 💜 King of Bourbon Street Milkshake– vanilla ice cream, king cake crumble, cinnamon, caramel drizzle, and shimmering gold, green, and purple flair
- 💚 Bead Me Up Milkshake– mint chocolate ice cream, bourbon, beignets, and powdered sugar
Co-owner George Tsiouris added, “We went ever more over the top— this is the most elaborate décor we have ever done for Mardi Gras.”
This festive pop-up experience runs through Fat Tuesday, with hours Wednesday through Sunday. Come hungry, grab a milkshake, and get ready to party like you’re on Bourbon Street…no plane ticket required.
