The holidays are not only a time we spend with the ones we love, but also a time to give back to our community. This new holiday attraction does just that. Philadelphia’a Festival of Trees is the city’s latest attraction in the city. All proceeds will benefit CHOP.
The Philadelphia Festival of Trees
Marvel at the magic of the holidays with a new holiday attraction celebrating the beauty of Christmas while benefiting a local hospital. The Philadelphia Festival Of Trees features a stunning collection of uniquely decorated trees.
The Festival of Trees will pop-up in the newly renovated LOVE Park Welcome Center, making it the first activation of the space since its renovations.
Firstly, visitors can enjoy twinkling, beautiful, and artistically designed trees from all the Philadelphia favorites, like Philadelphia Eagles, Philadelphia Union, Philadelphia Zoo, Wawa, SEPTA, Dietz and Watson, Rita’s Water Ice, Philadelphia Insurance Company, Bank of America, Westpharma, Mazza Wines, Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia and many more.
The magical collection of Christmas trees will be created with the support of local artists, makers, designers, and community volunteers.
The intricate details include glowing holiday lights, original art pieces, beautiful ornaments, unforgettable keepsakes, show-stopping stars, whimsical toppers, and much more.
A Meaningful Holiday
“We are thrilled to launch a brand-new holiday tradition and attraction in the heart of Center City just in time for the 2023 holiday season,” said Christmas Village in Philadelphia CEO and President Thomas Bauer in an official press release.
“This is a wonderful opportunity to bring new life to the Southwest Corner of LOVE Park and activate the Welcome Center, while we raise money for such an important community cause. All funds from votes will be donated to CHOP to help close the gap between resources and breakthroughs for patients who need it most. It is a win-win for holiday merry-makers and for our community as a whole.”
Indeed, visitors will be able to vote for their favorite tree design by making a donation to this year’s 2023 beneficiary, The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia.
Trees will complete for Best of Show and the People’s Choice.
Of course, a Christmas festival isn’t complete without Father Christmas. Take photos with jolly Santa every Friday, Saturday and Sunday inside the festival.
