If you’ve been craving a fall getaway, Amtrak’s got the perfect excuse to book a trip. The rail service just launched its limited-time “Falling Fares Sale,” offering up to 25% off select routes across the country—including several popular ones departing from Philadelphia.
From now through October 7, 2025, travelers can lock in discounted fares for travel between October 14 and December 18, with scenic fall foliage and cozy cityscapes waiting just a train ride away.

During the sale, one-way fares from Philadelphia start as low as:
- $25 to Baltimore
- $30 to Washington, D.C.
- $45 to New York City
That means a weekend in D.C. or a Broadway day trip from Philly is officially within budget. Plus, with no TSA lines or middle seats, your journey can be just as relaxing as your destination.
From scenic long distance journeys to short regional trips or anything in between, Amtrak offers a comfortable and convenient way to travel. Travelers booking during the Sale can take advantage of Amtrak’s spacious coach accommodations or Acela Business Class, which feature wide reclining seats, ample legroom, no middle seats, and picturesque windows to see some of the best views this country has to offer without being stuck in traffic.
How to book ‘Falling Fares’ on Amtrak
Tickets are available now at Amtrak.com or through the free Amtrak app. Leaves are falling, and so are the fares. Indeed, this is a perfect season to see the East Coast from the comfort on an Amtrak window seat.
Important to note, this sale is valid for travel on most Amtrak routes. Availability is limited and blackout dates are Tuesday, Nov. 11, and Monday, Nov. 21 through Monday, Dec. 1., 2026. Must book by October 7th, 2025 to take advantage of this deal.
