Celebrate cinematic diversity and creativity by supporting the highly-anticipated Philadelphia Asian American Film Festival. This 10-day festival kicks off Thursday, November 7th, 2024 with the premiere of “All That We Love“, written and directed by Yen Tan.

The Philadelphia Asian American Film Festival (PAAFF) is thrilled to announce its highly anticipated 2024 Fall Program, illuminating a vibrant collection of films that honor the rich diversity, boundless creativity, and distinct voices flourishing within the Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander (AAPI) communities
Specifically, the festival will take place from November 7-17, 2024. Attendees will get the chance to dive deep into the films with in-person and virtual screenings, panel discussions, and special events.
Now in its 17th year, PAAFF continues its tradition of spotlighting underrepresented stories. It provides a platform for filmmakers and artists of Asian descent to share their work.
This year’s program features an exciting and thought-provoking mix of narratives including documentaries, shorts, and animations.
Indeed, festival-goers will be moved by the spectrum of stories that highlight the vast richness of AANHPI experiences and perspectives.
“We are incredibly excited about this year’s program, which features a diverse array of stories that reflect the unique perspectives of the AANHPI community,” said Joseph Carranza, Festival Director and Exhibition Director of PAAFF. “From groundbreaking narratives to thought-provoking documentaries, we’re proud to amplify these voices and bring them to the Philadelphia community.”

Firstly, the program features 3 international premieres, 5 United States premieres, 5 East Coast premieres, and 16 Philadelphia premieres. Undoubtedly, this impressive array of premieres positions the Philadelphia Asian American Film Festival as a leader in AANHPI cinema in Pennsylvania.

- NOVEMBER 7, 2024: Opening Night: Philadelphia Premiere, “ALL THAT WE LOVE”, written and directed by Yen Tan
- NOVEMBER 7, 2024: Reflection Gala
- NOVEMBER 12, 2024 Screenings: “Seoul Switch” starring K-Pop idol Kevin Woo and “Extremely Unique Dynamic”
- NOVEMBER 13, 2024: “Reflections Panel: The Politics of Representation”
- NOVEMBER 16, 2024: Centerpiece Film, “You Don’t Have to Go Home, but…”
