The Philly Halal Food Festival is returning this September for its fourth annual celebration, bringing more than 60 food vendors, global flavors, a bustling bazaar, and family-friendly fun to King of Prussia Mall. Taking place September 19, the all-day event is set to be the largest Halal food festival in Pennsylvania and the first one in Philadelphia. The festival offers a chance to discover the culinary traditions and businesses shaping Greater Philadelphia’s Halal food scene.

What is the Philly Halal Food Festival?
Established in 2023, the fest was created by Philly natives Noor, Najah, and Tabish to celebrate Halal food while highlighting the people, cultures, and businesses behind it.
According to festival organizers, attendees can expect everything from juicy kebabs to flavorful cheesesteaks. The festival will showcase cuisines from across the globe while introducing more people to the breadth of Halal dining throughout the region.
“Philly Halal Food Festival is beyond a celebration of good food, but a celebration of people,” founder Noor B. said. “The Greater Philadelphia Muslim community is worthy of celebration.”

What can you expect?
Attendees can expect a day full of food, fellowship, and fun. Last year’s event included over 100 food and bazaar vendors with over 6000 people in attendance. In addition to the plentiful food vendors, there’s also a bazaar to shop everything from Islamic arts and crafts to garments, gifts, and more. Moreover, there will be a kids corner, making it a family-friendly way to spend the day.
The founders also hope the event can help grow the local Halal food industry and create more opportunities for Muslim-owned businesses throughout Greater Philadelphia.
For Tabish H., one of the festival’s founders and the creator behind @phillyhalalspots, food is a way to bring people together.
“Food is one of the ultimate unifiers for humanity,” Tabish said. “Halal food and ethnic cuisines from all the Muslim world bring the community together unlike anything else.”

How much does it cost?
General admission is $10, plus a $0.25 ticket service fee, according to the festival’s official ticket page. Kids ages 3 and under are free. Food and other purchases at the festival are not included with admission. Lastly, tickets are nonrefundable.

When and where is the Philly Halal Food Festival?
The festival takes places Saturday, September 19, from 12 p.m. to 10 p.m. at King of Prussia Mall, 160 N. Gulph Road, King of Prussia, PA. Specifically, it will be located in the parking lot across from Eataly.
King of Prussia Mall is one of the largest malls in America, giving the festival more space to accommodate vendors and attendees, with organizers expecting their biggest event yet. The venue offers ample parking and is easily accessible by SEPTA.
With dozens of vendors, global cuisines, Halal takes on edible favorites, and plenty of food to discover, the festival is shaping up to be a delicious showcase of the people and flavors that make Greater Philadelphia’s food scene diverse.
