Yowie: A gem in the village
Located in the eclectic neighborhood of Queen Village, Yowie first opened in 2016 as a tiny gift shop known for its array of home decor and funky glassware and ceramics.
In late 2023, Yowie expanded its allure becoming a boutique hotel, café, lifestyle shop and design studio.
This Black-owned, female-owned business offers a harmonious balance of minimalism and futurism situated perfectly in modernity. Upon entry, on the ground floor, stop for a frothy latte at WIM, Yowie’s bright and welcoming café.
Next, the café leads directly to Yowie’s new gift shop. Inside you’ll find unique jewelry pieces, chic clothing, homey decor, signature pieces, and much more.
Upstairs, you’ll find the hip Yowie Hotel, where art and leisure are paramount. This invisible service hotel sends you a code and text for arrival- that is nonetheless welcoming in lieu of a traditional lobby and check-in desk. From snuggling in a plush king-size bed to sprawling out in a swanky two-bedroom suite, there’s a cozy nook for everyone! In your room, you’ll find personal touches as well as suggestions of things to do in the city for tourists or natives alike.
Indeed, each space is a delightful mix of modern flair, vibrant hues, and unique art that makes your Insta pop, but guess what? No two rooms are alike—it’s like a treasure hunt for your perfect stay!
