Philadelphia’s iconic sports and entertainment venue is getting a bold new name and a serious tech upgrade. Starting September 1, 2025, the home of the Flyers, Sixers, and so many unforgettable concerts and events will officially become Xfinity Mobile Arena.
Xfinity Mobile Arena
The rebrand comes through a powerhouse partnership between Comcast Spectacor, Harris Blitzer Sports & Entertainment (HBSE), and Xfinity Mobile, one of the fastest-growing wireless services in the country.
“Philadelphia is home to the most passionate fans in the country,” said Steve Croney, COO of Comcast. “That competitive spirit is a perfect match for Xfinity Mobile.” Croney promises that fans can expect “an unrivaled experience” fueled by Comcast’s supercharged WiFi, with blazing-fast speeds and seamless connectivity from the parking lot to the nosebleeds.
And this isn’t just a name swap—it’s a commitment to innovation. The arena recently wrapped a massive $400+ million transformation, upgrading everything from seating and concessions to performer amenities and fan tech.
“This arena is the heartbeat of South Philly,” said Dan Hilferty, Chairman & CEO of Comcast Spectacor. “We’re investing in every detail—from the WiFi to the sightlines—to make sure this remains a top-tier destination for fans and performers alike.”
What to expect
The Xfinity Mobile Arena will host more than 220 events and 2.5 million guests annually. Indeed, it will continue its legacy of memorable moments—from Sixers playoff runs and Flyers faceoffs to sold-out concerts and political conventions.
“This is about giving fans more of what they love,” said Tad Brown, CEO of the 76ers and HBSE. “Faster speeds, smarter tech, and unforgettable experiences at every event.”
The deal runs through the 2030-2031 season. Moreover, it marks a thrilling new chapter for one of the busiest venues in the world. New signage goes up September 2, 2025—just in time for the action to begin.
