5 Flipping Amazing Pancake Spots To Try In Philly

Pancake Day has crêped up on us once more, so here’s a list of Miami’s best places in which to grab some flipping good hotcakes!

Tie your napkin round your neck and bring out your best pair of cutlery, ’cause it’s Pancake Day once more.  We understand you might not want to enjoy your pancakes in batter-covered clothes (or kitchens), so here are 5 Philly spots in which to enjoy some fluffy, stack-worthy pancakes!

1. Green Eggs Café, South Philadelphia

Want to try something a bit different to your traditional buttermilk pancakes? Then Green Eggs Café is the place to go. This South Philly spot offers a staggering stack of Red Velvet pancakes made with some of the best local ingredients. Served with chocolate chips plus strawberry mascarpone layers, capped off with maple syrup, chantilly cream, and fresh strawberries, these hearty, red pancakes are a total must-try.

Find Green Eggs Café at 1306 Dickinson St, Philadelphia, PA 19147 and multiple other locations

2. Sabrina’s Café, Franklintown

This cute brunch spot near the art museum offers traditional buttermilk pancakes served by the stack and topped with powdered cinnamon and sugar. If you’d like to spruce up your stack with more toppings, Sabrina’s offers the option of adding chocolate chips, walnuts, fresh bananas, strawberries or blueberries to your pancakes.

3. Café La Maude, Northern Liberties

This French-Lebanese brunch spot in Northern Liberties is really flipping up its pancake game with their Apple Pie Banana pancakes. These banana-stuffed, spirulina pancakes come with caramelized apples, whipped blueberry cream cheese yogurt, cinnamon crumble, creme anglaise and whipped cream, and they’re a real show stopper — Just look at them! Café La Maude also offers two other delicious kinds of pancakes including a red velvet tiramisú stack served with mascarpone cheese, ladyfingers, white chocolate chips, berries and whipped cream, as well as a classic stack of pancakes served with bananas and strawberries.

4. Hinge Café, Port Richmond

At this Port Richmond spots they’re flipping pancakes all week long for breakfast until 11 a.m. For something a bit different make sure to try their cinnamon bun pancakes. These bad boys come in stacks of 8 or 10 and are served with cream cheese frosting. But if you rather go traditional, Hinge also offers stacks of six or eight pancakes you can make sweeter by adding on chocolate chips, bananas, Banana fosters or cream cheese frosting. Yum!

5. Honey’s Sit N Eat, Northern Liberties

They say the early bird gets the worm but at Honey’s Sit N Eat you get the pancake. But if you’re not an early bird, don’t worry Honey’s still has plenty of hotcakes for you. If you’re feeling especially peckish we suggest trying their Breakfast Bomb, this pancake comes stuffed with scrambled egg, cheese choice, mornin’ meat folded inside, and potato choice, but if you rather go lighter you can always order a short stack of 3 buttermilk pancakes served with your choice of breakfast meat.
