Tis’ the season to deck the city halls! Thursday November 30th, 2023, Philadelphia will be in full holiday festive mode as 6abc presents the City of Philadelphia Tree Lighting Celebration. This annual, highly-anticipated Philly tradition is more magical this year than ever before with a full spectacular itinerary for the entire family to enjoy!
City of Philadelphia Tree Lighting Celebration
Calling all Philadelphia residents and visitors! You are invited to the 6abc Presents: City of Philadelphia Tree Lighting Celebration in partnership with Bank of America. The celebration takes place Thursday, November 30 at 7:00 p.m. on the north side of City Hall.
This highly anticipated, annual Philly tradition is produced in partnership by the Office of City Representative and Welcome America, Inc.
Firstly, beginning at 6:00 p.m., guests can enjoy festive giveaways. Sponsors include Bank of America, Wawa, NRG, Sharing Excess, and Haribo.
Next, the tree lighting ceremony will feature an incredible entertainment lineup. Jordin Sparks, Grammy nominated, multi-platinum, singer, songwriter, is this year’s musical headliner.
Sparks will indeed set off sparks in City Hall as she performs live!
Additionally, DJ Diamond Kuts and singer Felicia Ponzo will also be on hand to not only entertain the crowd, but also bring on the musical magic.
Also, children and adults alike can delight in a special pre-show performance from Disney’s FROZEN.
Important Details
Important to note, guests and viewers are encouraged to be in place by 6:45pm.
Markedly, the tree will be lit at the beginning of the program this year compared to last year.
Afterwards, festivities and entertainment will take place.
Lastly, please note, the event will also be exclusively broadcast live on 6abc at 7:00 p.m.
