Philly foodies, clear your calendars! Starting Friday, July 11, The Slider Co. is popping up in South Kensington -but only for three months. This isn’t your average burger joint. Think juicy Angus beef, crispy quinoa patties, and cornbread slider buns so good you won’t want to take the last bite.
100 FREE sliders on opening day
Set up in the buzzing courtyard of The Luxe at 1705 North American Street, this limited-run spot promises sliders, sweets, and sides with serious soul.
And if you’re one of the first 100 guests on opening day, your first bite is on the house. Yup- the first 100 customers will receive a FREE slider.
Choose from the “Fat Mama Cheeseburger” or the vegan “Kitchen Sink“. Indeed, each one is its own edible masterpiece.
About The Slider Co.
Founded by William Johnson and Anesha Garrett, The Slider Co. is more than a pop-up. It’s a passion project.
Johnson, once a dishwasher turned world-traveling chef, and Garrett, a pastry artist with a flair for finance, are Philly locals bringing global flavor to home.
“The sky is the limit for how far we see The Slider Co. going,” said Johnson.
“Our goal is to become a nationwide brand and open locations all over the country. But for now, we are thrilled to be popping up in our hometown of Philadelphia to show the sandwich capital of America what we’re all about.”
Their menu, already served in Aramark kitchens and local hospitals, is ready to make waves in the city’s street food scene.
Expect hits like the “95 South” (fried chicken on cornbread) and sides that go beyond sides.
Moreover, there’s a story in every slider, and this duo’s culinary chemistry shines through each one.
“We’re just getting started,” says Johnson. “But Philly is home—and we couldn’t imagine launching this pop-up anywhere else.”
The grand opening for The Slider Co. is Friday, July 11th!
