Now on display until the end of September, Seated Little Cloud is a massive 35-foot, 26-feet wide and 21-feet deep art installation. Indeed, it will make you feel like you’re floating on a cloud.
Seated Little Cloud
If you ever wondered what it’s like to be one with a cloud, you’re in luck. Now on display at the Philadelphia Navy Yard, Seated Little Cloud is a breathtaking and adorable art fixture. In collaboration with The Philadelphia Navy Yard, it is curated by Group X and created by international artists, FriendsWithYou.
Seated Little Cloud is the artists’ first public art project in Philadelphia, tapping into the artists’ universe of happy characters. It takes the shape as alarge inflatable sculpture in the middle of Crescent Park. It’s a 2.5-acre park located just beyond the Navy Yard’s front gates.
“We created Seated Little Cloud as a beacon of harmony, using our iconic Little Cloud in a meditative pose, to increase the love vibration to the city of Philadelphia and beyond” said artists Borkson and Sandoval in an official press release.
“We hope the meditative nature is contagious and brings serenity to all. Through our work we strive to connect to ourselves and each other, spreading friendship, building community, and deepening our relationship with the natural world.”
The artwork will be open to the public Monday through Sunday, from sunup to sundown. It is free for all to view and experience.
