Philly is giving holiday diners an extra reason to celebrate this December. On Wednesday, December 10, 2025, from 6 PM – 8PM, Rodney McLeod Jr., former Philadelphia Eagles safety, philantropist, and Super Bowl Champion, is partnering with Chickie’s & Pete’s for the annual “Dine For a Cause” fundraiser. Guests who dine at select participating locations across Pennsylvania during the two-hour window will help raise funds for Change Our Future’s Holiday Giveback, supporting families in need this festive season.

🍽️ Dine For a Cause: How it works
During the event, a portion of all dine-in sales at participating Chickie’s & Pete’s locations—including Audubon, Drexel Hill, Malvern, Robbins Ave., Roosevelt Blvd., South Philly, and Warrington—will be donated directly to the McLeod’s Change Our Future nonprofit. Guests can enjoy crowd favorites like the iconic Crabfries®, while knowing that every bite contributes to families in need.

🎁 Change Our Future: Making holiday dreams possible
Now in its fifth year the Holiday Giveback Initiative allows Rodney and Erika McLeod to adopt families for a shopping trip to stock up on essential items, warm clothing, and toys. Since 2020, more than 15o families have benefited from the program, which contributes to grow as more Philadelphia families face hardships during the winter months.

During the event, Rodney McLeod Jr. will be mixing, mingling, and guest bartending at the South Philly location, joined by some of his NFL friends. It’s a rare chance for fans to interact with the former Eagle while giving back to the community in a meaningful way.
