Philly’s bagel scene is about to get a major shake-up. PopUp Bagels, the widely popular New York-based bagel brand, announced on September 16, 2025 via Instagram, that it will open its very first Philadelphia-area location in Ardmore’s Suburban Square.
Known for its unique, “Grip, Rip, and Dip™” style of eating, the brand has developed a cult-like following since it launched in 2020. And now, Philly locals will finally get a taste!
🥯 What makes PopUp Bagels different?
Forget slicing and toasting. PopUp Bagels encourages to tear their bagel by hand and dip it directly into one of their signature schmears.
Their menu includes both sweet and savory options from whipped honey butter, scallion cream cheese, and creative seasonal spreads.
Each bagel is served hot and fresh, designed to be enjoyed immediately for maximum flavor.

Rumor has it, this will be the first of more locations to come in our area!!
