Christopher Nolan’s The Odyssey continues to dominate the box office, earning a record-breaking $48 million during its second weekend in IMAX and bringing its global IMAX total to $140 million. Now, Pennsylvania moviegoers once again have access to the film in its most sought-after format after Regal UA King of Prussia announced its IMAX 70mm projector has been repaired and screenings have resumed.
The theater shared the update Sunday morning on Instagram, confirming that IMAX 70mm presentations would resume with its 8 a.m. showing and that additional showtimes would continue throughout the day.
The only place in Pennsylvania to see The Odyssey in IMAX 70mm
Regal UA King of Prussia has become a destination for Christopher Nolan fans thanks to its rare IMAX 70mm capabilities. The theater is the only location in Pennsylvania—and one of just 41 theaters worldwide—equipped to screen The Odyssey in the coveted IMAX 70mm film format.
Last week, The temporary projector issue forced the theater to cancel several IMAX 70mm screenings last week, disappointing moviegoers, including some who had traveled hours specifically to expertise the rare format.
The theater announced on Instagram the repairs have since been completed, allowing IMAX 70mm presentations to resume and giving audiences another chance to experience the film as Nolan intended.
