LUZIA transports you to an imaginary Mexico
Taking its clever name from the blend of Spanish words “luz” (light) and “lluvia” (rain), LUZIA promises to wow guests. Water cascading from the ceiling, hoop acrobats defying gravity, an artist juggling seven clubs… Each act brings a dreamy vision of Mexico to life.
Sets flow from one to the other, drawing the audience through cinematic transitions. One minute attendees are in a smoky dance hall, the next in an arid desert or the ocean — a fantastical representation of the many places and faces of Mexico.
A unique production that uses water on stage
LUZIA is powered by 2,600 gallons of water. A first for a Cirque du Soleil touring show, this new process requires the water to remain at a constant 102°F and undergo constant filtration. During the performance, water from 94,657 small openings animates the stage, fueling LUZIA’s jaw-dropping sets and incredible stunts.
