It’s the Year of the Dragon! Firstly, from festivities to parades, to traditional dances, and cultural performances, there’s so many ways to celebrate the Lunar New Year in Philadelphia. 1. Lunar New Year Parade In Chinatown
Come down to Philadelphia’s majestic and culturally-rich Chinatown to celebrate the Lunar New Year. Ring in the Year of the Dragon with two sure-to-be grand parades led by the Philadelphia Suns. Feb. 9, The New Year’s Eve Midnight Parade kicks off at 10 p.m. and on Feb. 11 the New Year’s Day Parade kicks off at 11 a.m. Important to note, both processions with start 10th and Spring St.

2. Chinese New Year Brunch At The Buddakan
Come to Philadelphia’s beloved Buddakan for their annual and highly anticipated Chinese New Year Brunch on Sunday, Feb. 10, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. A Lunar New Year tradition, this special event will feature a limited-edition menu and mesmerizing Dragon Dancers. Additionally, guests can enjoy signature Buddakan menu item staples including curated cocktails and sake, edamame dumplings, char siu pork buns and Kobe beef satay. 3. Lunar New Year Celebration At Franklin Square
Feb. 17 from 5 to 7 p.m., head down to Philadelphia’s historic Franklin Square for a fun Lunar celebration. Significantly, this year will mark the first year the square will host a Lunar New Year celebration. Indeed, attendees will enjoy entertainment from the, Philly Suns Lion Dancers. Moreover, enjoy crafts for children with the Asian Arts Initiative. Next, don’t mss your red envelope surprise and on-site giveaways. 4. Family Festival At The Philadelphia Museum of Art

5. Lunar New Year Celebration At The Fashion District
