The experience inspired by Aladdin just opened in Philadelphia on June 16, and it is hosted in the sizable Fashion District (901 Market St, Suite 1150). Prepare for a 2-hour long parade experience that assembles fortune tellers, magicians, performers as well as themed goods for purchase.
Fashion District Philadelphia is a 3-block wide shopping experience that features the most happening brands. A 826,000 square feet retail location in the middle of Center City, it’s home to multiple retail stores, but also restaurants, bars, movie theaters and more. Its convenient location makes for the ideal venue for Genie’s Secret Bazaar.
At the heart of the extensive venue, you’ll get to explore an old-fashioned carnival-meets-international bazaar where countless activities await. Fortune tellers, alchemists, bewitching magicians and performance artists take over the experience, roaming throughout the marketplace just like in Aladdin and the Magic Lamp. Kids shows like face painting stands, fascinating shadow vignettes and hidden puzzles will be sprinkled throughout the bazaar, making the experience as family friendly as possible.
Local small businesses will be selling their creations, including Rock N Rolls, Saté Kampar, Bao & Bun Studio, Fat Lady Brewing, Strivers’ Row Distillery, Cusp by Cassie, RedTooth Ceramics, Namaste Gorgeous, and so many more!
From delicious street food and drinks to multicultural art, their colorful vendor stalls provide the perfect backdrop for your photos — although there will be countless photo opportunities at Genie’s Secret Bazaar. Detailed woven tents, meticulously crafted hanging lights, kaleidoscopic carpets and intricate doorways create a realistic Aladdin-themed decor that will transport you into the century-old tale.
