Philadelphia’s iconic Franklin Fountain is kicking off spring with an ambitious new concept: ultra-limited ice cream flights and experimental pint drops. Starting in April, six new small-batch flavors will debut each month—four featured in a flights and two released as pints—available only in limited quantities and never by the scoop.
Franklin Fountain debuts new experimental ice creams 🍧
If you crave something familiar mixed with something different, you’ll want to try these new ice cream flavors. Each release is first come, first serve, with just dozens of pints and a small number of flights available at a time.
The first drops lands April 3 at 11 a.m., launching a season of bold, unexpected flavors crafted by Chef Franny Zehmer and her team.
About taking on this project, Zehmer said,
“Ice Cream is meant to be fun. Through my years managing the ice cream department my staff and myself have had so many what-if moments. What if we made this? What if we combined this and that? It got to the point where I asked myself ‘What if we actually took these ideas and made them a reality?’”
