Ahh, donuts! One of America’s favorite foods, and our followers agree! In an Instagram poll, we asked if they prefer donuts or muffins (since there is a rivalry between the two pastries), and donuts won by a long shot (71% for donuts, 29% for muffins)! So, we have combined a list of local Philly donut shops where you can satisfy your sweet tooth.

1. Federal Donuts

This a-glazing donut shop has the classic donut flavors we all know and love, like old-fashioned glazed, dark chocolate glazed, and chocolate old fashioned, at $2.25 each. They also have a variety of “fancy donuts” at $2.75 each, including flavors like Super Banana Pudding, chocolate toffee, cannoli, raspberry mascarpone, caramel pecan bun, and so many more! Order 1, by the half dozen or by the dozen.

2. Factory Donuts

With 24 creative signature donuts, there is a flavor for everyone! Some of their most iconic flavors include: Maple bacon explosion, strawberry lemonade, and chocolate covered strawberry. I donut know how they put these unique flavors into a donut, but that is remarkable. In addition to donuts, they serve breakfast sandwiches and bite-size donuts, as well as freshly brewed coffee of course. This family run business has many locations around Pennsylvania and helps charities through fundraisers, donations, and community organizations. 3. Dottie’s Donuts

To keep things interesting, Dottie’s updates its donut menu every day with new flavors created by their innovative chefs. To find out which ones are in stock, visit their social media page where they announce the day’s special new flavor. Plus, all their donuts are vegan! Donut judge me if I go there every day just to discover a new flavor of donut.

4. Okie Dokie Donuts

Managed by the two owners, this shop has exclusively gluten-free donuts with two vegan options at all times. Their artisanal donuts change every month depending on seasonal ingredients. For the month of June, their donut menu includes blueberry, coffee cake, lemon buttermilk, lychee ginger, milk cereal, and dulce de leche. Visit them at 1439 Snyder Ave.

5. Hello Donuts

When establishing this donut shop, the owners wanted to create a community around coffee, donuts, and food. They were able to do just that with this quaint shop in East Kensington. With six unique housemade donut flavors, you donut want to miss this; banana pancake, chocolate tahini, milk and cookies, blueberry filled, raspberry rose, pull-aparts. They are open Monday to Friday from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. and on the weekends from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
