The beloved culinary series Cookbooks & Convos presented by OpenTable is currently underway, and it’s tastier than ever. Hosted by the Sisterly Love Collective—a group of powerhouse women restaurateurs including Jennifer Carroll, Sofia Deleon, Jill Weber, and Ellen Yin—this month-long celebration runs October 12 through November 10, 2025, bringing together chefs, cookbooks authors, and food lovers from near and far.
Each event pairs a visiting author with a local restaurant, bar, or bakery for an intimate evening of conversation, food, and connection.
Guests can expect meet-and-greets, happy hours, demos, and dinners all centered around great food and storytelling.
👩🏻🍳 Cookbooks & Convos: A nod to a Philly classic
The series takes inspiration from The Book and The Cook, the iconic Philly event that ran from 1984 to 2007.
Like its predecessor, Cookbooks & Convos celebrates the bond between authors and chefs, bur with a fresh, modern twist focused on community and collaboration among women hospitality.
“It’s been a joy to see this series flourish,” says co-founder Ellen Yin. “This year offers one of our most dynamic lineups yet.”
