It’s no secret, Center City is Philly’s hotspot for both natives and tourists alike. In order to function properly, the neighborhood is dependent upon the more than 100,000 employees who work in the office district. Center City Sunrise is a spring initiative that celebrates Center City office employees with free coffee giveaways, entertainment, and more.
Center City Sunrise
Beginning Wednesday May 8th, 2024 from 8 a.m. to 9 a.m., Center City office employees can enjoy a complimentary cup of coffee to kick-start their day. This is a part of a greater initiative, Center City Sunrise, which celebrates the many employees who work in the office district. In fact, Center City Philadelphia holds approximately 41% of all jobs citywide making gratitude natural.
“As of April 2023, nearly two-thirds of non-resident employees have returned to work downtown,” said Prema Katari Gupta, President & CEO of the Center City District in an official press release.
“We are grateful for their contributions to the vitality of our downtown. We hope that Center City Sunrise, even in the smallest way, can help make the morning commute a bit brighter.”
