Experience Magical Candlelight Concerts In Stunning Open-Air Philadelphia Spaces This Fall

By Secret Philadelphia October 13, 2020

Escape to an urban oasis this fall at these enchanting Candlelight classical music concerts.

You can still experience an absolutely magical (and safe) fall here in Philadelphia, and part of that is thanks to the amazing outdoor spaces the city has to offer. Luckily, Fever Originals is bringing its wildly popular Candlelight concert series to open-air spaces for the season, from enchanting gardens to stunning terraces.

The series showcases classical music performances in utterly magical settings, as top musicians are completely surrounded by flickering candlelight. For the safety of our audience, all of the candlelight will be provided through flameless candles.

And of course, the new open-air venues will allow for a stylish but safe socially distant setting. Enjoy an amazing atmosphere as you are whisked away by the beautiful, tranquil sounds of classical numbers.

You can already be a classical fan, but if you’re new to the music you can still simply sit back and savor the stunning pieces you’ll hear, including “Vivaldi’s Four Seasons and More” and “Celebrating 250 Years of Beethoven.”

There will be two shows each evening with time beforehand to enjoy a few sips and bites. Please note that the earlier performance will take place during daylight hours, so the space will not be quite as dark, but still just as enchanting!

Venues include a National Historic Landmark, the Morris House Hotel, which was originally built in 1787 and is now one of the city’s most beautiful restored buildings. Performances will take place in their elegant courtyard garden, a green escape right within the hustle and bustle of Center City.

Intimate candlelit concerts will also be held at the stunning Laurel Hill Cemetery, which is the final resting place of many individuals who shaped the history of the city and our nation. At this National Historic Landmark, you’ll be able to experience the cemetery’s unique and eerily beautiful architecture accompanied by the violins’ ominous yet melodic heralding of All Hallows’ Eve.

You’ll be able to purchase tickets in groups of two, and you must be 10 years old or older to attend. There will be a food and drink pre-order option available as well.

Don’t miss out on what’s sure to be one of Philadelphia’s most popular fall events! Purchase your tickets to these incredible concerts by candlelight here.

All shows will follow the government guidelines for safety measures and the events will always operate at safe capacities set out by law.
