It’s warm weather season in the city and pop-up beer gardens are abound! From hard Kombucha to IPAs, now is the time to enjoy a cold brew and some nice weather. We’ve rounded up five local beer gardens in the city to enjoy your favorite Ale for a refreshingly good time.
1. PHS Pop-up Garden On South Street
Pet-friendly, lush urban oasis, nom nom, and cold brews– a sure recipe for a great time outdoors! The PHS Pop-up garden on South Street is now open through October 31st. Visit the garden to enjoy a sampling of delicious seasonal foods and popular staples such a salads, wraps, and juicy burgers (vegan options are also available). Beer lovers can explore full-flavored, hoppy ales including Half Acre Daisy Cutter Pale Ale, New Trail White Ale, Cigar City Jai Alai IPA and more. There’s also signature cocktails on the menu including the Philly-esque “Woodermelon”, a mix tito’s vodka, watermelon, fever tree ginger beer, & lime. If downtown isn’t always your scene, there’s also a PHS garden in the Manayunk section of Philly.

2. Drury Beer Garden
Open year round, Drury Beer Garden offers both indoor and outdoor dining so the good times can continuously roll. Located on Samson Street in downtown Philly, the beer menu is extensive with satisfying options for even the toughest beer snob. Visitors can order buckets of beer, bottle, cans, as well as draft beers. Whether you prefer a frothy or floral ale, Drury Beer Garden has it all. In like manner, there’s also a dozen of speciality cocktails and plenty of tantalizing food choices. The charcoal grilled pizza combos such as the BBQ chicken, red onions, and cilantro or the pepperoni, hot honey and oregano are absolutely mouthwatering.

3. Independence Beer Garden
Located in the historic side of town across from the Liberty Bell Center, Independence Beer Garden is a 20,000 square-foot, all-American outdoor beer garden. Overlooking Independence National Historic Park, the beer garden is perfect for a day out with friends. The menu includes not only Philly staples such giant pretzels and cheesesteaks, but also 40 taps of regional and domestic craft beers. With rustic decor made up of distressed metal, timber and Tivoli lights, the ambience is intimate and photo worthy.

4. Love City Gardens
A quaint, cute garden oasis located across from their taproom, Love City Gardens by Love City Brewing is back for another year. Visitors can enjoy an array of draft beers such as the Love City Lager, an American Golden Lager or the lime-infused Lime City Lager. There’s also canned beers available as well as cocktails for those who prefer to get a little mixy. Food favorites such as tacos and burgers are brought to you by Viva Food Truck.

5. Parks On Tap
Parks On Tap is a pop-up beer garden that gives back! For the third year in a row, Parks On Tap is bringing the vibes to the city for a cause. In conjunction with Philadelphia Parks & Recreation and FCM Hospitality, Parks on Tap is a traveling beer garden that benefits the Fairmount Park Conservancy.
