Over the weekend of May 3-4, fans around the world spotted a curious -but unmistakable- sight: the signature white plastic chairs from Debí Tirar Más Fotos mysteriously appearing outside major stadiums and venues. From the streets of Peru and Chile to the heart of Europe in Poland, France, and the UK, these now-iconic chairs sparked one burning questions. Is Bad Bunny about to drop a world tour?
Bad Bunny announces new world tour
It appears fans were right. The megastar just announced a world tour.
And it looks like the chairs were an indicator of tour stops along the way.
Specifically, they’ve shown up in places like Mexico, Brazil, Costa Rica, and even far-off cities in Spain and England. cities that, interestingly, align with locations Bad Bunny mentioned in a heartfelt statement earlier this year when teasing the potential of more live shows.
“Thanks to music and the love you give me through my music, I’ve had the privilege of traveling to sing in different places of the world. I appreciate and love to do it,” he said in January, as told to Billboard.
“There are places I for sure will return to, like Mexico, Argentina, Chile, Costa Rica, Colombia. And some I’ve never been to but would like to visit, like Brazil and Japan. And there are places I haven’t been to in a long time, like Italy, London, Spain, I know, and I promise before the year ends, I’ll tell you the date and time I will be visiting.”
With another tour on the horizon, it marks yet another chapter in Bad Bunny’s already love performance era.
His World’s Hottest Tour shattered records in 2022, becoming the highest-grossing Latin tour in Billboard Boxscore history.
Moreover, his latest venture, the Most Wanted Tour, pulled in over $207.8 million and sold more than 703,000 tickets across just 30 shows.
This summer, he’s already drawing global fans to his homeland with an unprecedented 30-day residency at the Coliseo de Puerto Rico, a spectacle expected to attract a staggering 250,000 visitors.
U.S. Dates: Stay tuned
Now with the announcement of another world tour, fans are eager to see if those signature white chairs will be popping up in major U.S. cities, such as say, Philly!
But if the chairs are indeed breadcrumbs—and let’s be honest, when has Bad Bunny ever done anything by accident—we’ll just have to stay tuned for any updates (or chairs) stateside.
For now, U.S. fans stay tuned to his channels -watching, waiting, and decoding. Indeed, the energy is rising.
