A little slice of the Jersey Shore is arriving—no traffic on the Parkway required. Starting March 28, Adventure Aquarium is unveiling The Boardwalk. The brand-new immersive experience draws inspiration from the sights, sounds, and charm of the Mid-Atlantic coastline. Designed as a nostalgic nod to beach days in New Jersey and Delaware, this indoor attraction brings classic seaside vibes to the Delaware River waterfront.
As the heart of the experience is Horseshoe Crab Harbor, the aquarium’s fourth touch exhibit. Guests can gently interact with one of the region’s most fascinating native species— creatures that have existed for more than 400 million years!
“One of the most exciting parts of our mission is educating guests on the incredible animals that are found in our own backyard,” said Nikki Grandinetti, General Curator at Adventure Aquarium. “Horseshoe Crabs have been on Earth for over 400 million years, long before the dinosaurs, and they remain a vital part of our coastal environments today. We’re proud to shine a spotlight on this remarkable species that lives right here in our home state.”
