One of Pennsylvania’s largest German festivals is back, and it’s taking over South Street for a full day of spring celebration. The 13th Annual Manifest, hosted by Bauhaus Schmitz, returns Saturday, May 2, 2026 from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. with an all-ages block party packed with culture, tradition, and plenty of beer.
Each year, more than 10,000 visitors from across the tri-state area flock to the 700 block of South Street for this lively festival, which celebrates the German tradition of May Day.

Expect one of the tallest Maypoles in the United States towering over the festivities, alongside a full lineup of live music, dancing, and authentic cuisine.
Guests can enjoy performances from Die Heimatklange Band and the United German Hungarian Dance Group. Moreover, enjoy crowd-favorite traditions like the Liter Lift Competition, keg tapping, and the iconic pig roast.
From bratwurst and schnitzel to pretzels and potato salad, the food lineup delivers a taste of Germany. Not to mention there’s a whole selection of imported beers.
Admission to Maifest is free! However, food and drinks available pay-as-you-go. Additionally, VIP tickets are available, offering an upgraded experience with exclusive seating, a buffet, and more.
“Brauhaus Schmitz proudly brings this authentic German tradition to the heart of Philadelphia’s South Street for an unforgettable day of fun and merriment,” said Brauhaus Schmitz owner Doug Hager. “Our block party has become a cherished tradition for locals and visitors alike, and we can’t wait to celebrate with South Street and our community. Come raise a liter with us under the giant Maypole!”
