If you’ve been waiting for a sign to book that fall getaway, this is it— but you only have two days left to snag the deal. Amtrak’s Falling Fares Sale is offering travelers up to 25% off the Flex fare amount on eligible routes nationwide.
The catch? The sale ends Wednesday, August 26, so procrastinators are officially running out of time
The discounted fares are valid for travel from September 9 through November 13, giving you plenty of opportunities to turn an ordinary autumn trip into a scenic rail adventure.
See fall without the traffic
Indeed, fall road trips can be beautiful, but spending hours staring at brake lights isn’t exactly part of the experience. Amtrak gives you a chance to actually enjoy the scenery. Moreover, the trains offer roomy coach seats, and a window view of the changing leaves along the way.
Depending on your route, you could be watching the landscape turn shades of red, orange, and gold while heading to see friends and family, exploring somewhere new or catching a game.
The sale applies to a wide range of routes. Among them, the Northeast Regional, Downeaster, Crescent, Cardinal, Lake Shore Limited, Coast Starlight, California Zephyr, and Empire Builder.
Book the Falling Fares Amtrak sale
This is where the FOMO comes in: the sale is already underway, and August 26 is the final day to book. Seating is limited, and discounted fares may not be available on every train, date, or departure.
The offer is valid for eligible coach and travel and cannot be combined with other discounts. Changes are not permitted, which cancellations before departure are allowed with a 50% cancellation fee.
One blackout date applies: October 12.
