This Halloween season, Opera Philadelphia invites you to a spine-chilling cinematic experience at the historic Wanamaker building. From October 27 to 31, the Greek Hall will host a free series of classic silent horror films, each accompanied by live organ music, as part of the Opera’s PIPE UP! program. Curated by acclaimed former critic Carrie Rickey, this event promises to be a hauntingly memorable addition to your Halloween festivities.

Each evening at 7:00 p.m., audiences will be treated to a different silent horror masterpiece
- Monday, October 27: Faust (1926) – Directed by F.W. Murnau, with organist Ian Fraser.
- Tuesday, October 28: The Phantom Carriage (1922) – Directed by Victor Sjöström, with organist Don Kinnear.
- Wednesday, October 29: Nosferatu (1922) – Directed by F.W. Murnau, with organist Peter Richard Conte.
- Thursday, October 30: The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari (1920) – Directed by Robert Wiene, with organist Peter Richard Conte.
- Friday, October 31: Häxan (1922) – Directed by Benjamin Christensen, with organist Don Kinnear.

All screenings will take place at the Greek Hall on the third floor of the Wanamaker Building, located at 100 E Penn Square (entrance at Juniper Street).
Doors open at 6:30 p.m., with the films beginning promptly at 7:00 p.m.
